The Rapha Women's 100 was born to pay tribute to women's cycling. Is created to challenge thousands of women of the entire world riding 100k in the way they want to. From Velodrom Girona we wanted to be part and we organized our own Women's 100, in order to enjoy an epic day surrounded by other girls and get those who had never done such a distance to do it and remember it forever.

We met at 8:30AM in Velodrom Girona, due to the rain forecast, we had uncertainty of who would com and who would not. As soon as the girls were coming, we were feeling the nerves growing more and more, so we did the briefing of the ride, and we moved on. We decided to go in a single group, so that we could help each other.

We left Girona, and in less than 10 minutes we were riding on impressive roads and landscapes in which we felt that sensation that only cyclists know, the adrenaline of going in a group without thinking about anything else, which reminds us the reason we cycle.

After crossing cornfields and passing through the medieval villages of the Empordà, we arrived at the expected Coffee Stop in Grava, where we enjoyed a breakfast to get energy and share our experiences with the other girls.

LA GANGA CLIMB

Once the pit stop was done, we reached La Ganga climb, where the peloton started to break because the stronger riders of the group started to push. The few riders that didn't catch the breakaway, they got back on track by working together. Thanks to having an impressive support team we could fill out our bottles and finally get back to Girona.

WE MADE IT!

Finally, we made it to La Comuna, where food and drinks were waiting for us, to celebrate that everyone achieve the 100k ride.

It was one of those days that you will never forget, thanks to the amazing atmosphere created by the girls, the support team, and especially to Grava and La Comuna for being such cozy places, with great people and food.

Without any kind of doubt, we will do it again!
